ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

It's hard when you are working 30 hours a week, going to school full time, living life, and then throwing community service on top of all this seems unbearable. However, with a strong support system and deep faith there is nothing that is unbearable. I am blessed to have such a loving family that supports me, and is interested in the things I do. They are there to comfort me and give me what I need, inorder to continue giving the best ME I can be to others. I am happy that there is that strength in my life, because they have made me who I am today. When life gets hard and others tell you it is impossible to make a difference, or why are you adding another thing to your life. You can simply tell them because I CAN do it, I CAN make a difference! So the messages that I get day in and day out are fueling my energy to do more, and that I can do anything I put my mind to, and I agree with that because I have the LOVE in my life to do it!

I feel that my particular ability that I can bring to my community is, my leadership skills. I feel that I can motivate others, make sure that we are fuctioning as a team well and productively. I also feel that I am very aware of others feelings and I am a very personable person. These are all qualities that I feel help me to be a good leader! I can not wait to observe other leaders throughout my life and learn and grow from their strengths.

The quote from chapter four really affected me in a way that it gave me joy and strength to know that I can and will make a difference in my career as a teacher, that I am studying to become. I want that huge house that you drive by and your jaw drops. I want the nice car that everone loves, but with the salary a teacher makes I will never beable to reach those dreams. However, I can reach others by changing children and their parents lives! I can inspire kids to see the real meaning of happiness, which is LOVE once again. So, to those that say I can't make a difference you don't see that things can change, or maybe you do but you want me to make more money... I say NO I will not stand for that! ANYONE can make a DIFFERENCE!

  1. One word: Amen!

You will be a GREAT teacher! You WILL inspire children to go on to be the best that they can become and to change their community. I think that this experience will allow you to relate to your future students and to inspire them to go on to do bigger and better things (not just teach them 2+2=4).

Love conqures all (even through the on-going stressers of life)! Keep up the good work!

  2. I'm glad to hear you have people that support you because there are times when you get discouraged and need someone there to uplift you. It's great that your support system also shares your interest in getting involved because you are able to have family time while helping others.

Being able to motivate people is also a great skill because sometimes people just start to lose their drive and have a hard time getting it back.

Having people person skills will allow you to get through to a lot of people because they will be able to relate to you.

Sounds like you are on the road to success :D

  4. I can relate quite well to you since I work around 30 hours a week as well as going to school everyday and of course spending time with friends. It can be very overwhelming at times but you are right when you say having people around you to support you and encourage you can really make a difference. I think a strength of yours in becoming a leader is the energy that you show no matter the situation is. Your energy will get others motivated and enthusiastic about anything that you are doing. Keep it up!!
